Ingredient Philosophy
Every ingredient has a story.
One of my favourite parts of formulating is talking about ingredients.
Most people read an ingredient label to see what's inside a product. I read it differently. What's listed on the label is only half the story. The real story is why an ingredient was chosen, how it works within the formulation, and whether it genuinely deserves to be there.
As a cosmetic chemist, I don't see ingredients as simply "natural" or "synthetic", or "good" or "bad". Every raw material is carefully evaluated for its function, skin compatibility, safety, environmental impact and the evidence supporting its performance. Only then does it earn a place in an Osckin formula.
Below are some of the ingredients I return to time and time again—and why they've earned a place in the Osckin collection.

Unlike many humectants, Pentavitin® binds to the outer layers of the skin, helping provide long-lasting hydration while supporting the skin barrier. It's one of those ingredients that consistently performs beautifully.
Formulator's Note
One of the things I appreciate most about Pentavitin® is its versatility. It performs just as well in serums and moisturisers as it does in wash-off formulations—a rare quality for a hydration ingredient.
